The Lenches W.I. meets in Church Lench Village Hall at 7.30pm on the third monday of each month. Its a lively group of 42 members who, apart from the regular meetings, have the oportunity to go on outings, walks and attend functions organised by the County.
Your impression of the W.I. may be of ladies of a certain age, wearing hand knitted cardigans, stirring jam, making cakes or joining together in a rousing rendition of jerusalem. This could not be further from the truth - think `Calender Girls`! We may keep our clothes on here, but the accent is on fun, laughter, friendship, knowledge and action.
You can always pop in to check us out: you dont have to join. It isnt an arduous commitment: you can do as much or as little as you wish. Come along! You can be assured of a warm welcome.
