Here are some important dates from The Lenches past:

1042 - William created Urso Earl of Worcester in 1077, Lord of the Manor.
1066 - Bishop of Worcester is Lord of the Manor, Supporter f Harold.
1090 - British museum has records to a Monk (Hemming) dies in the village this year
1272 - Thomas de Lench "Lord of the Landes and Woodes"
1302 - Petrus de Lench made sub-Deacon
1338 - Henry de Lench instituted as Rector on Randolph's Lench
1539 - Oliver Cromwell made titler Abbot for the purpose of giving surrender.
1564 - William Shakespeare's son-in-law, Dr. Hall was at Rous Lench Court.
1625 - George Lench, Esq., of Inkberrow fined £ 11 13d 4d for refusing a knighthood.
1660 - Sir Thomas Rous appointed a commissioner for the county
1864 - the Lenches school in Church Lench built by Rev Chafy.
1876 - The Rouse Lench estate became the property of the Chafys.
